The Edge

The Edge climbing arena is the South Coast's premier climbing facility. With over 300 square metres of climbing area, including a belaying and abseiling platform, 25 numbered panels with 70 graded routes and a separate bouldering cave, the Edge caters for all climbing abilities.

Opening times; Mon-Fri   5.30pm-10pm, Weekends 8am-6.30pm

There will be partial closure for professional route setting Sat 20th and Sun 21st April 2013

Competent climbers are required to register before using the Edge, which involves completing a safety and ability check list to show that they meet the Centre's criteria and approval. Registered members are permitted to climb with a maximum of two non-registered climbers.

Equipment hire is available (with the exception of shoes).
Besides a hire charge, a refundable deposit of £5.00 per item is required for security.

Learning to climb?

Learning to climb on an indoor wall provides the perfect surroundings to enable the climber to concentrate on the skills and techniques at hand. The Centre offers climbing courses for beginners where expert tuition is provided by Instructors who have been chosen for their specific qualifications, experience and specialised knowledge.

There is a range of climbing clubs and courses for younger climbers which cater for 8-17 year olds. These sessions are tailored to provide a natural learning progression in a safe environment. In addition to these sessions, the Centre also offers a wide range of external trips to local climbing venues.
