Studio cycling requires no special skills and is as easy as riding a bike. RPM Classes are set to motivating music and are conducted as an aerobics class.
Stationary bikes are arranged in a semi-circle facing the instructor's bike with a variety of routines lasting either 30 or 45 minutes. The bike resistance is changed to simulate going up and down hill and getting out of the seat to climb or sprint. An easily adjusted tension knob provides resistance and allows participants to climb hills, ride on a flat road or fly downhill.
